Batteries are a vital component for self-sufficiency ‘off-grid’ in a modern caravan. Here are the basic considerations all caravanners need to be aware of if they intend to use their caravan independent of mains electricity from an electrical hook-up.

Caravan batteries are quite different to car batteries, so it’s important to know how to charge and maintain them properly to get the best out of them. If looked after carefully and used efficiently, a leisure battery should meet several days’ basic habitation needs between charges and will provide many seasons of service before replacement.

Caravan or ‘Leisure’ batteries are designed to supply currents of a few amps for longer periods and to be discharged and recharged many times. Battery life is enhanced if it is kept well charged, so the battery should always be kept on charge if a mains hook-up is available - here's some information on using the electricity supply at our sites for when you're touring from location to location.

The battery is used to power the caravan’s 12-volt system – basically the lighting, water pump and fridge. Additional appliances can be run off the 12-volt system, but some items need the use of an inverter in order to work and will also increase the rate at which the battery is drained. It's important to know your general power usage and typical power consumption of the various devices you'd use in a caravan.

Capacity

Battery capacity is quoted in ampere-hours (Ah). The size of battery needed can be estimated from a combination of the length of time that the caravan will be in use between chargings, the amount of equipment in use and the length of time that equipment is switched on.

To work out the capacity of battery required, estimate the number of watt hours your equipment requires over, say, 24 hours e.g. two 8-watt fluorescent lights used for 5 hours equals 80 watt hours. Divide the watt hours by 12 to give ampere hours - 80 divided by 12 = 6.6 Ah per day. So a 60 Ah battery will power two lights for nine days before complete discharge (60 * 6.6). Don’t forget to include all lights, TV, water pump and electrical appliances in your calculation.

A battery will not last forever and its life will depend on how well it is maintained and how often used.

Charging sealed batteries

Increasingly, caravan manufacturers are fitting 'maintenance free' or 'sealed for life' batteries, they have cells that have no filler caps, and which are not intended to be topped up with water. These batteries must not be overcharged since this will reduce the level of the electrolyte in the cells, which cannot be replenished.

Sealed batteries should be charged with an 'automatic' or 'voltage-controlled' battery charger, which can be bought from most battery specialists, including Halfords. After several cycles of voltage-controlled charging and resting, the battery is fully charged.

Maintaining and charging older batteries

At least annually, thoroughly clean the battery tray, terminals and connectors and smear the latter with petroleum jelly. Unless 'sealed for life', remove the battery vent plugs or strips and shine a torch into each cell to check the electrolyte level, which should cover the plates completely. If the plates are exposed, top up with distilled and de-ionised water; never use tap water or meltwater from a 'fridge. Check with the battery manufacturer's literature regarding how much water to add.

Check the battery’s state of charge on the consumer unit – usually located above or alongside the main door.

If the battery is not 100 per cent charged, it should be re-charged at a lower rate for a longer period rather than at a high rate for a shorter time: do not charge at more than one tenth of the battery's capacity e.g. 6 Amp for a 60 Ah battery. If a garage is charging the battery for you, make sure it is trickle charged and not boost charged. Raynic digital alarm clock.

When the battery is thought to be fully charged, disconnect the charger mains lead. Re-check the electrolyte level then leave the battery for at least four hours before checking its state of charge again. If necessary, re-connect the charger (charger mains lead last) and continue re-charging. A 75 per cent charged battery may only take a few hours to charge fully, whereas a fully discharged battery may take more than 24 hours. It is better to do this in up to 12-hour sessions than all at once.

If the battery was left discharged and had been run down for a week or so, it is likely that it has become sulphated. This means that a permanent change has taken place which may render the battery totally useless.

Always re-charge a battery after use and, if you're storing your caravan for more than one month, make sure the battery is removed and stored in a fully charged condition in a cool, dry place. Check every two months and re-charge if necessary to ensure long and trouble-free battery life. A battery left below 12.4 V will deteriorate quickly and will not be able to be recharged to its original capacity. If charging the battery when removed from the caravan, make sure that the premises are well ventilated.

Continuous charging

Some caravanners like to leave the leisure battery in situ and allow it to be continuously charged during winter. Ask the caravan and/or battery manufacturer first if this is appropriate, and always check the battery every month or so. Most batteries like at least a short rest period (say 24 hours) from charging for best performance.

Self-discharge

Over time, a battery will lose its charge, even with no equipment attached. Modern batteries lose 0.1 to 0.2 per cent of their charge per day at room temperature, even when new - hence a newly purchased battery may not be fully charged. As batteries age or temperature increases, so does the self-discharge rate.

Caravanners used to move their leisure battery into the back of the towcar to achieve a higher charge rate from the alternator. However, the battery box used for transporting a battery to and from the car is no longer available. Health and safety considerations such as the risk of acid spillage and gas emission into the passenger compartment contributed to its withdrawal.

Adding a second battery

Some owners find that they need additional battery capacity and choose to fit a second leisure battery. If considering this, make sure that there is an appropriate space for it (secure fixings to restrain the battery, ventilated to the outside, and sealed from the habitation area). Check also that you have enough payload capacity to cope with the additional weight.

A second battery, if charged up before going away, will maintain a good state of charge for some weeks, and hence can remain disconnected as a reserve. Just swap it with the main battery once that one runs low. An alternative would be to wire up a manual changeover switch to allow either battery (but not both at once) to be in circuit.

Solitaire rules and how to play

Game setup: After a 52-card deck is shuffled you’ll begin to set up the tableau by distributing the cards into seven columns face down, with each new card being placed into the next column.

The tableau increases in size from left to right, with the left-most pile containing one card and the right-most containing seven. As an example, this means the first seven cards will create the seven columns of the Tableau. The eighth card distributed will go into the second column, since the first column already has its one and only card.

After the piles are complete, they should be cascaded downwards such that they form a “reverse staircase” form towards the right. Ultimately, you will have seven piles, with the first pile containing one card, the second pile containing two cards, the third pile containing three cards etc. Only the last card in each of the Tableau columns is flipped over face up so you can see it’s suit, color and value. In our game, this is automatically done for you!

All leftover cards after the foundations are created become the “Stock,” where you can turn over the first card.

Goal: To win, you need to arrange all the cards into the four empty Foundations piles by suit color and in numerical order, starting from Ace all the way to King.

Tableau: This is the area where you have seven columns, with the first column containing one card and each sequential column containing one more additional card. The last card of every pile is turned over face up.

Stockpile: This is where you can draw the remaining cards, which can then be played in the game. If not used, the cards are put into a waste pile. Once all cards are turned over, the remaining cards that have not been moved to either the tableau or foundation can then be redrawn from the stockpile in the same order.

Playing the game:

Face up cards in the tableau or stockpile can be moved on top of another face up card in the tableau of an opposite color that is one rank higher, forming a sequence of cards.

Groups or stacks of sequenced cards in the tableau can also be moved together on top of a card of the opposite color and higher rank.

If a tableau column has only face-down cards remaining, the last card is flipped over and can be played.

To start a foundation pile, an Ace must be played. Once a foundation pile is started, only cards of that suit can be placed in that specific pile.

As cards are surfaced from the stockpile or tableau, and there are no other cards on top of them, they may be moved to a foundation pile if they can be placed in the right order.

If a tableau column is empty, you may move a King, and only a King, to that column.

Win by moving all the cards to the Foundation piles in the right order.

I think that it is a great way to start with some virtual instruments that are outside of the FL Studio ecosystem. I have been using their products for years, and they are an integral part of my workflow.

DOWNLOAD NATIVE ACCESS

To get them installed on your system you have to go the Native Instruments website, and navigate to the Komplete Start Page.

It is an easy-to-use, flexible and versatile sampler plugin, but underneath lies a powerful engine. Kontakt is capable of anything related to sampling, from sample playback to complex virtual instruments and sound modules. Our listing of free Kontakt instruments comprises the. PROBLEMS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER

Now I want to warn you about something.

It seems like the installation process can be a bit tricky. I’m not sure why, but I have had problems getting things installed with the latest version of Native Access. You may have to contact support to walk you through getting everything installed and setup to work on your computer.

Honestly this is the biggest weakness that I see with the Native Instruments ecosystem. They make it very hard to get it up and rolling.

But I promise that once you get through the pain of getting it all installed and working, you will love the products.

So let’s talk about what we have to do in FL Studio to get the Instruments setup for use.

SETUP A FEW FOLDERS

Before we jump into FL Studio, I’m going to have you do something.

I’m going to have you setup a few folders.

It won’t make sense right now, but it will make life easier down the road.

If you are working in Windows, open File Explorer and navigate to:

C:UsersusernameDocumentsImage-lineFL StudioPresetsPlugin Database

*username is whatever the name you use to log in to the computer.

You will see a few folders: Effects, Generators, and Installed.

Let’s go into the Effects folder first.

Create a new folder and name it Native Instruments.

Now back up to the Generators folder.

And create another folder, and name it Native Instruments as well.

The reason we are doing this, is that once we load in the new instruments and effects in FL Studio, we will be able to save them to these new folders we created, and access them quickly.

So let’s move on to installing the plugins in FL Studio.

INSTALLING NATIVE INSTRUMENTS KOMPLETE START IN FL STUDIO

So when we open up FL Studio, you can go to the plugins tab on the left side in the browser window.

Right click on it until you see the menu appear and go to the “manage plugins” option.

This will open up the plugin manager window.

ADDING FOLDERS AND SCANNING FOR NEW PLUGINS

You will need to add the file folders where you installed the Native Instruments plugins.

This is different than the folders we just set up a minute ago.

If you don’t remember, you can open up Native Access to see which folder the plugin was installed into.

You will add this folder to the list of folders that FL Studio scans to find plugins.

I kept the defaults for plugin installation from Native Access, so the plugin folder was located at:

C:Program FilesNative InstrumentsVSTPlugins 64 bit

Scan your computer with these new folders added.

You should see the new instruments show up on the right side list of items available.

They will be highlighted in a yellow color, indicating that these are the new plugins that FL Studio found when it searched your system.

Great! So far, so good.

Now we need to get the instruments loaded into the project, and then make them easy to access for future projects as well.

FINDING PLUGINS IN THE BROWSER

So now that we scanned the folders in FL studio to find the new plugins we installed from Native Access, we can close the Plugin Manager.

Now let’s go back out to the browser window.

If your browser is not open on the left side of FL Studio, you can press ALT + F8 to open it up.

Then click on the plug icon at the top of the window

Click on Installed.

This should show you Generator and Effects.

The difference between generator and effects in fl studio is that generators create the sound, effects modify the sound.

Let’s start with adding the generator plugins.

ADDING GENERATOR PLUGINS

Click on the generator folder.

The click on VST.

When you do that you should see the new plugins from Native Instruments.

How To Read CID on SD card
If you are looking to read the CID number of an SD card, or extract the CID off an SD card then you’ve find this article very helpful. Some also call this “reading the PSN off the SD card” or reading the product serial number off the SD card.
Most phones and much of the software on phones will lock in to the CID number of a SD card. The CID number is a unique card identifier number that is unique to the card itself. The CID number is valuable because software developers and hardware developers can lock software to the unique number of the device thus eliminating the ability to pass along licensed software.
Reading the CID number from an SD card is not an easy task. It requires specific access codes to the index table of the memory card, and unless you know how to use the SD chipset of your card reader, chances are you wont get the number…or least the correct and accurate number.

What is the CID number of an SD card?
The CID register is 16 bytes long and contains a unique card identification number. It is programmed during card manufacturing and cannot be changed by SD Card hosts. The CID number is a compilation of information about the card, such as manufacturer, date manufactured, checksum total, GB size and more. Below is a table outlining all the items which make up the SD CID number.
So with all this said, how do you read the CID number from an SD card? As we’ve mentioned it isn’t easy and it’s [more or less] hardware based. If you do enough searching on the internet you’ll find some home-brew code to read the CID numbers, but that’s only if you have the SD card or microSD card connected via an IDE bus to your host computer. This isn’t easy for everyone. There is clear evidence that using a USB to SD card reader will not get you the information you require, or at least accurate and correct information. Meaning most times the CID number generated is actually the serial number of the card reader itself, not the CID number of a specific SD card.
In addition, what if you are required to read the CID number off SD media in bulk? Download base.ipak file of cod black ops 2 apk. A single, one-at-a-time solution is not practical.
In my search to read the CID number from SD media, I cam across Nexcopy – a manufacturer of USB duplicator equipment and other flash memory equipment. Several models they carry are SD duplicators and microSD duplicators. With the secure digital duplicators part of their feature set includes reading CID numbers from SD media. The equipment can ready 20 cards at a time, 40 cards at a time, or 60 cards at a time, depending on the model. The duplicators will read the CID number and exported to a .csv file for import into other business functions. This configuration makes it quick and easy to obtain the CID number. Granted, the equipment is not designed for single use operation, but rather reading the CID of SD media in bulk quantity. Here is a screenshot of Nexcopy’s software reading 20 CID numbers:
I didn’t contact Nexcopy Incorporated for pricing of the equipment, but doing a quick search for the equipment shows me a price of about $1k for the smallest 20 target system and $3k for the largest, 60 target system.
With all this said, there is still no clear-cut method to read CID numbers off SD cards for the home-user, but maybe this article will at least explain why you haven’t found a good solution as of yet.

This very rare collector condition 1994 Alpina B3 3.0/1 was sold new in Japan and was recently imported it into the United States.

Power is froman Alpina-modified 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, while other Alpina features include metallic blue paint with exterior graphics, front and rear spoilers, 18â€³ wheels, themed fabric upholstery, and more.
Modifications consist of Bilstein coilovers withadjustable camber plates, a Kenwood stereo, and aftermarket speakers.The front control arms and spark plugs were replaced and an oil change was performedin preparation for the sale.This E36 is offered with an AlpinaDelivery Confirmation, Original Books, 2 Keys, purchase invoice, and clean title and registration.
The car is finished in Alpina Blue Metallic (492). Alpina-specific additions consist of a deck lid spoiler, front air dam, gold graphics, and special badging.

The original Alpina 18â€³ wheels are in excellent condition and they wear Toyo Proxes tires all around. Tires are approx 80% new.

Lifeline is a named element which represents an individual participant in the interaction. While parts and structural features may have multiplicity greater than 1, lifelines represent only one interacting entity.
If the referenced connectable element is multivalued (i.e, has a multiplicity > 1), then the lifeline may have an expression (selector) that specifies which particular part is represented by this lifeline. If the selector is omitted, this means that an arbitrary representative of the multivalued connectable element is chosen.

A lifeline is shown using a symbol that consists of a rectangle forming its 'head' followed by a vertical line (which may be dashed) that represents the lifetime of the participant.
Information identifying the lifeline is displayed inside the rectangle in the following format (slightly modified from what's in UML 2.4 standard):

selector ::= expression

The lifeline head has a shape that is based on the classifier for the part that this lifeline represents. Usually the head is a white rectangle containing name of class.

If the name is the keyword self, then the lifeline represents the object of the classifier that encloses the Interaction that owns the Lifeline. Ports of the encloser may be shown separately even when self is included.
Gate
A gate is a message end, connection point for relating a message outside of an interaction fragment with a message inside the interaction fragment.
The purpose of gates and messages between gates is to specify the concrete sender and receiver for every message. Gates play different roles:
formal gates - on interactions
actual gates - on interaction uses
expression gates - on combined fragment
The gates are named implicitly or explicitly. Implicit gate name is constructed by concatenating the direction of the message ('in' or 'out') and the message name, e.g. in_search, out_read.

Gates are notated just as message connection points on the frame.
Interaction Fragment
Interaction fragment is a named element representing the most general interaction unit. Each interaction fragment is conceptually like an interaction by itself.
There is no general notation for an interaction fragment. Its subclasses define their own notation.

Occurrence
Occurrence (complete UML name - occurrence specification, i.e. 'event description') is interaction fragment which represents a moment in time (event) at the beginning or end of a message or at the beginning or end of an execution.
An occurrence specification is one of the basic semantic units of interactions. The meanings of interactions are specified by sequences of occurrences described by occurrence specifications.
Each occurrence specification appears on exactly one lifeline. Occurrence specifications of a lifeline are ordered along the lifeline.
Occurrence specification has no notation and is just a point at the beginning or end of a message or at the beginning or end of an execution specification.
Examples of occurrences are:
Message Occurrence
Message occurrence (complete UML name - message occurrence specification) is an occurrence which represents such events as sending and receiving of signals or invoking or receiving of operation calls.
Destruction Occurrence
Destruction occurrence is a message occurrence which represents the destruction of the instance described by the lifeline. It may result in the subsequent destruction of other objects that this object owns by composition. No other occurrence may appear below the destruction event on a given lifeline.
Complete UML name of the occurrence is destruction occurrence specification. Until UML 2.4 it was called destruction event, and earlier - stop.
The destruction of instance is depicted by a cross in the form of an X at the bottom of a lifeline.
Execution Occurrence
Execution occurrence (complete UML name - execution occurrence specification) is an occurrence which represents moments in time at which actions or behaviors start or finish.
Execution occurrence references exactly one execution specification which describes the execution that is started or finished at this execution occurrence.
Duration of an execution is represented
by two execution occurrences - start and finish.

Execution (full name - execution specification, informally called activation) is interaction fragment which represents a period in the participant's lifetime when it is
executing a unit of behavior or action within the lifeline,
sending a signal to another participant,
waiting for a reply message from another participant.
